I agree with selling the car back if you can; this problem is not a good sign, but it may be completely fixable. Good luck!

I had the same stupid problem, I bet is some faulty valve, because I never top off my car and right now it's been in service for two weeks. The biggest problem is not replacing the part, as the matter of fact some dealers have it in stock, but because your charcoal canister got flooded with fuel it needs to be replace, and that my brother has to be ordered straight from JAPAN, that's about a week wait right there.
