thats pretty similar to the twinturbo set up for the 7 except the smaller turbo stays in the loop right?

i also know that alot of 7 guys switch to parallel for simplicity, but they loose that low end grunt.

i also know its not cost efective but an adaptor can be made to use the stock twinturbo setup on the renny. with some basic manual boost solinoids and some vacum lines and all the other stuff needed to complete the system it can be done. it might be rough around the edges in operation, but i bet it would feel pretty damn good having full boost at 2k to 2.5k.

i have heard of a car in japan that adapted the 3rd gen upper intake manni to the renny for turbo app with good results... and yes i am 100% positive that it was not the normal fd swap into the 8, it was the actual 3rd gen upper manni with a modification to fit.

That's actually nothing like the twin turbo setup in the RX-7. Those things were so worthless that I'd rather unbolt them and have less power.

their not that bad... granted they like to crack and leak oil, it was good for its time. only reason i said similar is because they do work in a sequential form. smaller turbo for the lower rpm, and the internal waste gate helps it spool the larger turbo and then the larger turbo comes online with only a slight hesitation, but the difference is the smaller turbo is still in the loop on the 7... where as the tt diesel set-up the small turbo is not helping at the higher rpm.

similar meaning "not being the same - but alike"....lol

just talking "basic" it looks like the diesel has two separate turbos whereas the 7 has the one manifold with a turbo compressor at each end, kind of like that cat-dog cartoon...lol
