Need Answers Asap

I am about to purchase a factory airbox and screen. my question is all i need to buy is the accordain hose to be able to complete the change back to a working factory unit correct? i have the maf. screen, and filter.

if you are going to put the vfad back you need the vacuum hose and canister

what is the v fad? and do i need to to run original airbox w/ no problem? how much will it cost if so for everything else?

no you dont need it. VFAD = Variable Fresh Air Duct

Since a lot of us have aftermarket intakes, you might be able to snag the whole VFAD assembly from someone. Check around your area (in the Regional Forums section) to see is anyone has one and is will to give it up.

Post #4 has a diagram with the VFAD unit (look towards the bottom). It runs from the VFAD actuator to the intake manifold.
Use this as a visual to see if you still have it installed. I know some people kept the unit installed and just tied it off to the side.

ok well i dont know i think i still might have one on. ill check. but its not really gonna make a difference is it. i mean an aftermarket intake really doesnt do anything. vfad is just helping to draw air into the intake box correct.

oh can anyone tell me where i can get the accordian hose for cheap. and anything else i will need to get my car running with the factory box. thanks for your help guys!

Thanks guys for all the help i actually just purchase the complete air intake seystem and v fad, accordain hose everything for $30.00! i dont need the vfad or lower tray but for 30 bux couldnt pass it up
