Need help starting problems....
So the 8 would not start. It would not even crank. Put in a new battery. Changed the plugs also. The mechanic said he got it started once, drove it for a while to make sure there was not any bad fuel in there. Then he shut it off and it would not start again. Now its back to nit even making a cranking sound again. Please help me. 8 is a 2005 auto with 106k on it.

Put in the key and move it to the 'On' position. Does your instrument panel light up? If so, you can assume your battery connections are at least somewhat connected.
Have a friend with a volt meter measure the voltage of the battery, holding the meter on the terminals, and then you attempt to start the car. If the voltage fluctuates, then the battery is being asked to supply power to the starter, and everything before the battery is functioning correctly, as is the connection from the battery to the starter. If the voltage drops below ~12v (i think it is), then your battery can't supply enough to the starter. If the battery voltage remains high enough, then the issue is probably the starter.
If the battery voltage does not change at all when attempting to start, then something in interrupting the connections and the circuit to the starter is not being completed. If your car has an alarm system or a remote starter, then something with this could have failed, or an internal alarm could be locking it out (had this happen to a company car, same symptoms you are having). Also, if there is something wrong with the seating or integrity of the battery terminal connections, then a high load might not be stable enough across them, and the connection is being broken.
