Black fluid on my rims

Hey guys,

I've just recently purchased the vehicle. I just had to buy it after the test drive. I like the car so far. 800 miles with no problems yet..

However, every time i drive the car.. The rims keep getting stained and getting black fluid all over it.. Do you think the brake fluid might be leaking?.. I checked the brake fluid and its full.. I'm not having any problems with the brakes.. Anyways, It's tiredsome to clean my rims every time i drive the car.. I have a little brake squeak but it's not too much of a problem.. Althought i should get that lubricated and get it fixed..

Do you think i should take the vehicle to the dealership for a brake squeak recall and have them inspect why the brakes might be leaking fluid?..

Your advise here would be helpful before i decide to take the vehicle for an appointment..

The black stuff is brake dust. It does get dirty fast.

The brakes should not squeak.

If it's fluid I would get it checked. Brake dust is common, but even if it were brake dust it wouldn't accumulate after 1 drive.

^^ it depends on how you drive it

those are brake dust.

and Squeak ... you can bring it back, and *hope* that they follow the TSB properly

I replaced mine 3 times still squeak like a ****. Im just gonna wait until it worns out, then Im going to change my rotor and brake pads all together (with better one, of course)

There is no TSB or recall for 2006 brakes.

You have a sports car. High performance brakes always create dust. Live with it.

You need to bed your brakes to stop the squeal. Do a search.

When it's time to replace the brakes go to Porterfiel.com and buy some cermaic brake pads.

Welcome to the forumn. Be careful, there are alot of cry babies here, that complain about everything.

the TSB originally does not apply to 2005 models, I still got them to changed mine.

you can ask them to replace the brake pads. just said its annoying as hell and theres no way (.....) that brakes squeak like that (well high performance brakes does squeak, just for your record)

Bedding the pads wont help for some people, like mine. It just squeak for some reason, might have something to do with driving style , workmanship, or luck, whatever.

crying babies. Maybe, but you gotta understand that sometimes its really annoying that these problems just keep coming back. and theres nothing you can do about it, say for the brakes, ultimate solution would be change it to something else (aftermarket)
