new engine = new problems...
well jus got my car back from gettin an engine transplant, n i'm already noticing some issues... The biggest of which is the vibration, at around 2k rpm there's a very noticeable shake even with the clutch pedal depressed, and throughout basically every rpm range i've driven so far (haven't exceeded 6k) there's a vibration in the shifter that i never had with the previous motor... i'm thinking possibly the fly but idk, it's almost as if the engine's off balance... Is that even possible? lol jk. Another note is that the car seems to sputter just slightly when first taking off. Not nearly like the old motor, but still a nuisance.

well just another thing to add to the list, i'm now getting an error code saying Intake manifold runner stuck open. Not sure just how relative it is, but today after starting the car she seemed to have even less power than before the swap. Bogging down severely until i hit 2k. This sux. new motor, more problems... Well this time around, i'm not going to be such a polite person. They'll get it right or i'll just let them no where they can stick it and just how far, and there certainly won't be any of this "ur gonna have to wait a week before we can get you a rental." What did i get myself into?...

so is the car running poorly from a vacuum leak, the runners (for sure?), or could the bogging be due to the PPF not properly re-installed during motor installation?
if i recall, this Rwd vehicle does not vibrate too severly from the shifter thanks to the PPF. but i've only owned only a few other rwd to compare this to.
it just may be...
thro out more clues for us, and we'll see what it possibly may be...
hope its taken cared of soon.

k, take it to the dealership = no fix. They simply cleared the pcm error message and sent me on my way with a "if it comes back, bring it back to us". Well put simply, this did not fix the shaking. As the car was in an accident, they had to "tweak" the rear section of the exhaust to get it to line up correctly. After the motor swap, apparently things did not line up as before so there was a rattle on the heat shielding. Ok, understandable, but that certainly wouldn't cause the entire car to shake so badly that you could see/feel/hear the vibration in the steering wheel, mirrors, etc. So to prove my point, I took my car to a muffler shop, had them cut and reweld to the new "correct" alignment of everything and wouldn't ya no it, no rattle on the heat shield, but the vibration is just as bad as before. NP Mazda, quit blowing smoke up my wazoo and fix this mess. As a side note, my car was repaired by North Park's own collision center.

I just got my car back from the dealership from a motor swap and same exact symptoms ! No joke. I got 2 codes and they tried sayin it was from my cold air intake. I had them read and it was a misfire intake valve stuck open and several other stuff. Bad hummin/roar sound when I'm driving. They tried giving it back to me with a major exhaust leak. This dealership is probably by far the worst that there is.
