New Flash and Recall/Warranty Work???
I took my wife's RX-8 to get several things looked at last Thursday. They performed a few recalls and did some warranty work. One of the things they did was perform a reflash and replace the spark plugs. The car had lost all power recently and my wife had to coast it to the side of the road.
Anyway, now there seems to be some other odd issues... the starter takes at least three times as long to start it now. Also the turn signal came on for no reason and turned off. I'm not sure if I need an exorcism on this car or not. Has anyone experienced this with the latest flash?
We have to take it back next week since they had to order a part they "hope" will fix the heat/cool control ****. It currently only blows cold air, which will not be so nice in a few months.

The PCM does not control the turn signal lights. ITs just a pretty simple *flip* switch, thats all
How could they replace the spark plug(Only leading, according to TSB) and not giving you new starter ?
I got new plug(leading) and new starter even for my 05.

I had all those things happen to me but in my other car and it was because my wiring harness was ffffd up. I'm not saying this is the problem or it will help you but it sounds like its to do with something electrical. Check to see if the fuse box is sealed and if it isn't check for moisture around the fuses
