New problem with A/C?
I tried a thread search to see if anyone had a problem similar to mine, but no luck. Here's the deal:
After I first bought the car, no problems with A/C (production date is Feb 2004, so the A/C TSB doesn't apply to my car). Just within the last week or so (with about 2400 miles), I noticed that the fan for the vent on the driver's right side (just above the CD console) doesn't blow as strongly. Same for the side vents by each door. The fans blow, but just not as strongly as the vent to the left of the front passenger.
Anyone else experience this? I'm guessing/hoping that this is a simple fix that the dealer can take care of. I'm taking it in for some accessory installs next week anyway.

I would say that you have not paid attention to the fresh air recirulate air button, as in recirculate it will blow more and fresh air it will blow less, when you cyle through the vent settings in defrost, it automatically goes to fresh air, in that mode it blows with less fpm feet per minute air flow!!!
yes you can thank me by buying me an infinity 5760a mulitchannel amp for my paid in full titianium gray rx8

Update on A/C
Okay, yesterday I took my '8 to Craig & Landreth Mazda for my first oil change, M Flash, redo brake pads (per the TSB), and installation of some new accessories. I had no problems. So what does that have to do with my A/C problem?
Well, with all the above items, I had forgotten to ask them to look at the A/C blower issue. However, to my delight/surprise, on the way home I discovered that all the blowers were now blowing at equal (and sufficient) strength. Don't know if the service dept. fixed it, or if the adjustment of some other component happened to fix this also. I did notice that I had to reset my clock and my preset radio stations, so perhaps that also fixed my blower problem?
Anyway, still enjoying driving my '8!

I'm having this issue with my 8 (8k in).
Air flow is strong on the passenger side (both vents), but much weaker on the driver's two vents on the dash.
Same issue whether we are talking about heat or A/C and whether it's on re-circ or outside air.
Any resolution for this that anyone has come across? The dealer here in Ontario (Canada) claims it's not an issue and that it happens on the Mazda 3s, 6s, and Tributes.
Thoughts?
