New Radiator

Okay, I was replacing my a/c condenser and one of the bolts was rusted and wouldn't come off. I pushed it hard enough to crack the stupid plastic that holds the nuts inside the radiator. When this happened it started leaking water. Well I ordered one from partstrain.com. I recieved it today and it has two extra tubes coming off of it and they are metal for AT. Will it be okay to take out those tubes and install it, or would this be an issue. I'm a dumbass and ordered this one with the thought in mind, its the cheapest its for MT. well It turned out not to be that way. Please help asap, as I'm trying to get my car running in about an hour.

Yes it will be fine. i installed a Koyo/Calsonic OEM replacement that had the AT transmission cooling tubes and it worked fine for the owner for a long time.

Did you remove the tubes? Does it affect the cooling of the engine temp?

The tubes were removed and it did not affect cooling. It is listed for both AT and MT RX-8's and was the exact size of the OEM. This car is also driven in south Texas.

Heck, if you wanted, during the winter, you could route the engine oil from the oil coolers through those tubes to allow the engine oil to get fully up to temp.

Thaks for your input. I took out the lines and they actually had seals on them to not leak antifreeze, so I just put them back in. I tested this by plugging all the holes bu one and blowing and it came out where the tubes used to be. One day I will cut them off. Got it running now. Thanks again. Took about 3 hours to put back in, but I didn't take off bottom cover and didn't lift it. Took off bumper. And, I didn't mess up any fins on my new radiator or new condenser.
