Noob Question on Bumper Removal
Hey all,
I've been stuck in my quest to remove the bumper for 2 days now thanks to the foglight connectors. I did a thorough search on the boards here and it looks like I'm the only newbie who ran into this problem. I saw someone mentioning twisting "1/4 of a turn" and I ran into random DIY pics that I thought would help, still no dice. So here's what I've done so far:
- Taped up the headlights and removed the bolts and screws from top/under/sides.
- Pulled down the bumper just a little bit so I could stick my hands between the fogs and the oil coolers. I can clearly tell it's all loose except for the foglight connectors now.
- Pulled and twisted the crap out of the brown piece to no avail. I noticed that the black piece with the 2 pin green thing on it remains on the foglight from the pic.
I'd like to know, if anyone remembers...
Which way and how did you twist the connector?
Am I supposed to find a clip somewhere or squeeze the brown piece a certain way?
Any other easier way to get your hands on there without rubbing against the oil coolers with an annoyingly short foglight wire? I have the aero package and no lift so I think underneath isn't an option for me =/
Any tips appreciated!
- Ayd
PS. If you haven't figured it out I'm a noob and this is my biggest undertaking so far (trying to install RB screens)

Whew that was easy.. thanks guys, I couldn't see in there too well so I had no idea. It worked on 2nd try even with a short wire/small opening with my left hand! (right handed) More fun when I have to put it back on
