Oil changes

I am sure this has been covered, but there were many oil change threads and I couldn't specifically find what I am looking for. I believe our car holds 7 liters of oil. Much of it still in the oil coolers and the lines. I would love to be able to have clear oil again for longer periods of time. Besides doing an oil change and driving for a little bit and doing another what would be a good way to have clean oil every oil change? Also, is the SOHN adapter still a good idea?

A) Disconnect the oil lines and unmount the oil coolers and rotate them to drain the oil. This is obviously not practical.
B) Do a normal oil change, 3-4 times, running the engine for a few minutes between each. Won't be perfect, but each time you get closer (though in increasingly smaller segments)

Every other option is basically retarded or functionally impossible.

Just do oil changes more often

you can also put one side of the car in the air, then the other and rock it back and forth. I can get 6 to 6.5 quarts out most of the time that way.

Another option is to change oil with a vacuum changer. Basically sucks all of the oil out of the system and pushes new oil in.

Some people believe in the sohn adapter, others don't. You'll have to decide that one on your own.

SOHN just makes sense to me constant clean fresh oil that is meant to be burned (2-stroke of course) and means that the seals don't get the grit from the oil mixed in which wouldn't scrape up the housings and apex seals. Seems logical right? I heard the SOHN adapter doesn't fit some turbo applications though.. My next project...

You can also run a higher quality oil filter and filter magnet. You will still get some discoloration in the oil, but the actual "grit" content should be significantly lower than basic filter with no magnet.

I went 20,000 miles with royal purple and didn't change my oil. Caused premature wear on the apex seals, and had to get another engine.

I hope you are being sarcastic.

If not, that explains quite a bit behind all your threads.

were you testing the viscosity of synthetic oil after prolonged abuse in a rotary engine?

Yeah I am serious this was years ago. The economy was tanking, my house got hit by a tornado, I lost both my jobs, got divorced, was more than a year behind on the car, and filed bankruptcy all within a year, so yeah I didn't do my oil changes, couldn't afford to do anything. Recent posts were due to stupidity as well. bursted radiator hose and engine got too hot. Have a lot of threads due to boredom at work. Sitting behind a desk waiting on Sailors to need something from training department. Now I have the money to do the things I need but only have one vehicle, so if it needs done I do it and worry about other things later.

Yeah it was pretty funny. I practically does change the oil. Every 3000 miles you have to add at least a quart of oil. Its like fresh oil all over lol.

Uh oh...Does this mean I know you outside of the forum?...So first I laugh like a creepy chick, and now I'm talking to somebody I already know, but I'm not aware of?...Jeeeze :/

Wait...So who is this?...Or did I completely misinterpret that, meaning I clearly have a case of the stupid today?

You have not met me, but you do "know" me outside of the forum.

I know you are smart enough to put all the pieces together.
