you can also put one side of the car in the air, then the other and rock it back and forth. I can get 6 to 6.5 quarts out most of the time that way.
Another option is to change oil with a vacuum changer. Basically sucks all of the oil out of the system and pushes new oil in.
Some people believe in the sohn adapter, others don't. You'll have to decide that one on your own.

Sounds like something I may have to buy. Does it put the oil into the whole system, or just put it all back in the oil pan?

I've used coolant ones, power steering, and other ones, I've just never heard of one for the engine oil.
Time to search Google here in a bit.

Well, I take it back, I've used engine oil ones at work, but that's different. The stuff I work on, sometimes, has adapters we plug in and do it. Nowhere near similar to the Rx8, haha.
