Oil level is half way between the lines

How much oil do I add to top it off at this level?

I just got my RX-8 a little bit ago and don't know how much to add with the oil at that level.

I took it for a drive, warmed it up, let it sit off for 5 minutes and checked the level.

I tried searching, but there was way too much noise to sort thru.

Thanks :D

The manual says its about a pint or 16oz mark to mark so between marks would be 8oz or half a pint.

The distance between L and F on the
dipstick represents the following:

L (US qt, Imp qt) 1.7 (1.8, 1.5)

This is from the online version of the owners manual for a 2004 Mazda Rx8,
http://www.mazdausa.com/MusaWeb/pdf/...004_owners.pdf

So, 1.8 US qt from L to F, but just be careful and check it after adding 1/4-1/2 quart in my opinion.

Anyway, check your oil level once a week or so.
