so my oil pressure gauge is leaning toward H by about two to three notches. I just changed my oil and oil filter. Should i be worried or is this normal for a a Rx-8 with 45K on it?

 

If your talking about the gauge on the dash its not a real oil pressure gauge. A few notches one way or another doesn't mean a thing. I have a real OP gauge and I can say that by watching both in action.

 

+1 that's normal position and in no way indicates the actual pressure of your engine oil.

The RX-8 oil pressure gauge is in essence a "dummy gauge". It basically moves the same spot every time if there is any pressure at all.
Some of us just install real oil pressure gauges to fix this little dilemma.
