PCM and ECM

I recently bought a 04 rx8 from a certified mazda dealer, but i'm not sure if they updated both the pcm and ecm. I read the FAQ here and it reccomended that I update the firmware, is there any way i know if its been done or do I have to take it too the dealer and ask them. Is it covered in the warranty? Thanks

The ECU update is important (increases internal engine lubrication) but not an emergency - mention it next time you are at the dealership.
