Po300 Cel

Po300 Cel
I read the thread about installing the interceptor and the car throwing a CEL because of a misfire, my car however is not turbocharged but i do have agency pulleys and a K&N intake on it, could anyone tell me why its misfiring or if I should get RX7 plugs like the thread suggests

you give no info..
why did you read the thread about installing the interceptor?
which kn filter.
do you have a interceptor?
which kn filter.
you have the pulley.
did you reset the ecu and the eshaft?

ok, so for more info, my car is MT, i have a KN CAI, and the agency pulley, the car runs fine, however, after installing the KN and the pulley it threw a CEL for random misfire, dont remember the code for it, and after resetting the ECU and pumping the brake it was gone for a while, after maybe a 1000 miles, another CEL showed up which is the po300, which is multiple cylinder misfire, I then went and searched for threads on this code and it gave me the thread on the interceptor, the cars in that thread sounded like they were turbocharged, my car is NA, the resolution to their problem was buying rx7 spark plugs that should solve the problem of detonation which seems to be the problem with my CEL, I tried resetting everything again but it came back randomly after a couple WOP accelerations, now if you need any more info let me know, but could someone please help me if you have had this CEL show up or what the problem could be

you didnt reset the non volatile RAM. when u remove the timing ring and the E shaft pulley you must make sure to clear the nv ram. the nv ram stores the eccentric tooth profile and it needs to reset itself after u do this mod. if u dont, the E shaft position sensor is sending signals tellin the pcm when to fire coils at the wrong time ( the pcm thinks its the wrong time bc it memorized how it SHOULD fire)
after i installed my UR pullies i turned the key to the ON position (position II for the experts out there) and i pumped the brake pedal 20 times within 8 seconds.
that sounds like a lot and it is, but if u do it right the oil pressure needle will swing just past the middle mark and go back down. clear the random misfire codes, do the brake pedal thing, then start it up and beat the living crap outta it.
problem solved
