Possible part number for a rear fog light switch?

I made myself a rear rotor accent light. With 24 surface mount LED's, it does get quite bright at night, especially since it is wired to my license plate light. So, I would like the option of having a switch to turn it on and off on demand.

There is an empty slot next to the DSC/TCS button. So I was wondering instead of installing some non-oem switch (which looks horrid in my opinion), is there perhaps something to fill the dummy button? I know overseas, they come with fog lights.

I don't know... if there isn't one then you can always just get a rocker switch.

OK there is an excellent DIY on this M8's already..

Looks like this Mazda GE4T-66-4B0 genuine Dash Fog Light Switch from a 2003 Mazda MPV does the job after some modifications to it...

Check out the link here in S2 Forum..

Lets us know if no good..\/....

The MPV one will work, but it is green in illumination. You want the protege one, it costs a little more but will be amber.

D342-66-4B0 is what I have in my notes, but have ASH verify for sure that is the correct part number.

Oh and shouldn't need any mods for your use, it is a on/off switch not a momentary already - should be perfect for your application.
