so I was driving today on the highway and everything was fine until i couldn't get into 3rd from 2nd. i was pulling on to the highway from a store. i had to double clutch to get it into 3rd. from 2 - 3 it got stuck in the middle and then the double clutching began. towards the end of my adventure it smoothed out a tad bit. the car has 22.7k miles on it, it's an 04. bought it used so i dont know if it still has the orig tranny fluid. any suggestions/ideas would help.

**UPDATE**

Well I called my dealer yesterday and they told me to bring it in right away. They took it for a test drive and couldn't find anything wrong with it. So they asked me if their master tech could take it home with him for the evening and drive it under normal driving circumstances and they found nothing wrong with it still. So o well, apparently there is nothing wrong with it. It was prolly a one time deal, tho I'm still going to change out the tranny fluid this week for the hell of it.

yea i was thinking of doing that, im debating doing it myself or having the dealer do it.

Well it happened around 3 times. I called the dealer and they told me to come in so I did. Their intial test drove they found nothing wrong. The guy called me back and asked if his master tech could take it home tonight to do normal driving what he would do for work and such and they said they would call me in the morning and let me know what is wrong with it. I guess it's a good thing that they didn't seem to think anything was wrong with it at first. I think I am still going to change the tranny fluid with Red Line if there is nothing wrong with it.

 

If you had to double declutch to shift without grinding most likely your synchro is gone
