Problems with my 8 already..
Hey guys,
I just purchased a 2004 rx8 a few months ago and absolutely love it, however, I have already run into some issues. The car has taken a few minutes to start since day one which isn't really a major concern although I would like to find out why. Lately though, the car will start perfectly when it's cold and even after driving it a while and letting it warm up.. After I turn the car off it will not start again until cooling off for about 10-15 mins. After doing some research, I have seen all sorts of suggestions such as.. Change your plugs and wires, replace coils, time for a new starter and worst of all.. Time for a new engine/rebuild. I'm really hoping these aren't serious issues and can't be easily fixed. Also, for some reason my coolant light keeps turning on at high rpms even though its completely full?? Thanks in advance for any input or suggestions!!

Voids warranties
How many miles are on the car now? Any idea about past maintenance? Plugs, wires and coils are a good place to start. And a compression test. Did you read this? https://www.rx8club.com/rx-8-discuss...t-here-202454/

Did you get compression test done before buying the car?
Sorry to say, but it sounds like a bad engine if it takes 10-15 min to cool before able to start again.
Even if it might be an old starter or bad coils, wire, plugs, I would say, get your compression test done. However, your warranty is most certainly over so be prepared to pay.
