Question About Installing New Battery
Seeing as no one wants to buy my battery, I figured I would install it into my car (doesn't need a new battery, but why not?).
Is it true that when you disconnect your battery and install a new one, it takes a few drives for it to return to its normal drive pattern?
Sorry if that is a little confusing, just not sure how to word it correctly.

No, not really.
First off, anytime you unplug the battery and reconnect, the DCS/TCS lights are going to go on.
Turn the car to "On", but do not start.
Turn the wheel all the way to the right, then all the way to the left.
Turn the car "Off".
Wait a few seconds and start as normal and lights should be off.
It is possible that if the battery is disconnected for a long period of time OR especially if you do the 20 brake stomp ESS reset, that the car will have to re-learn the fuel trims. You may have an issue with idling for a few drive cycles, but it will smooth out. It might stall on you the first couple of times you come up to a stop light or sign, so be prepared for that.

Not a biggie, but when you remove the battery you'll lose all the station presets on your radio. You might write down what they are so you can restore them after you swap batteries.

A lot of people say it doesn't do anything, but I'm not one of them. Works on my late 05 too.

It's a secret!
I only have it at home and I'm supposed to be working, but I'll go from memory!
1.) Hold front defrost and air input selector buttons at the same time.
2.) Turn car to "Acc", for a few seconds.
3.) Turn the car to "On", while keeping those buttons depressed.
4.) Wait until I think it's the rear defrost or some other button flashes at you three times and then release buttons.
5.) Turn car "off"
6.) Start as normal.
Nubo..............how'd I do?
Okay, I went and did a search.
First off, people swear it doesn't do a thing, but I can tell you that there are a lot of people(myself included) that know better.
The AC amplifier can be programmed to automatically default to "RECIRC" mode when the following conditions are met:
1. Ambient air temperature is 68 deg. F or higher.
2. HVAC control mode is in "FACE" mode.
3. HVAC temperature is in maximum cool setting.
1. Verify ignition switch is in OFF position.
2. Press and hold the front defrost and air intake selector buttons simultaneously.
3. Turn the ignition key to the "ACC" position for 3 seconds.
(Continue to hold the buttons down from step #2.)
4. Turn the ignition key to the "ON" position for 3 seconds.
(Continue to hold the buttons down from step #3.)
5. Successful programming will be confirmed by the rear defrost indicator light flashing 3 times.
Others can say it doesn't work all you want, but I believe it does...........and does make a difference.
Try it and decide for yourself!

Yeah, it blocks outside air and recirculates what's in the cabin. I know that procedure is only supposed to sort of take care of that for you, but others(including myself) swear it does more.
I'm in Florida and always use recirc anyway when I have the air on, but when I do this reset(or whatever), my air is noticeably better. That's all I can tell you.
