Question about Mazda's Extended RENESIS Warranty

When they "replace" the engine, do they give one a new renny, or is it just a reman of some other fool's dead engine? Maybe that's why we have peeps in the 4th engine club?

Anyone know 'round these parts have some info?

kthanks

let me let you in on a little secret about warranty work.

You will almost ALWAYS get refurbished parts. I don't care if you're in the car industry or the electronics industry, Warranty parts are almost always refurbished.

This does not mean they are no good. A refurbished part has to meet all the same quality standards that a new part does, and in some cases, more strenuous quality standards.

You will get a reman. It's very possible that sleepy-z will have had his hands involved in rebuilding your engine. The company that had quality control issues with re manufacturing rotary engines is no longer making engines. It's all under mazda control now, and the people rebuilding them in the US were trained by the top techs at mazda japan.

In short, you're in good hands. quit worrying about the "remanufactured" sticker on your engine.

Not that I have a new engine, or need one for that matter. I was just wondering.

Look up the videos on how to rebuild a rotary. A rebuild is not that scary of a thought, they basically just reuse the rotors (they don't really wear out) and the eccentric shaft.

My new tranny is a rebuild, but basically they just reuse the case and that is it. It is smooth
