question on TurboXS test pipe

does anyone know if the TurboXS RX-8 Catless Race Pipe works with stock exhaust system??

they claim that "The Turbo XS RX-8 race pipe is a full 3" diameter piece. Designed to bolt to the stock RX8 exhaust manifold ", but also "PLEASE NOTE: Turbo XS's RX8 midpipe is designed for use with the Turbo XS RX8 catback exhaust only."

which I'm not sure about...can anyone who have a this product give me more info? thx

ps....I actually wanted a B&B test pipe in the first place...but the TurboXS version cost half the price of B&B, from my knowledge.......a test pipe is a test pipe....just a pipe....right??

You answered your own question.

Yeah, it bolts on to the Exhaust Manifold on the front side, but on the rear side... its a 3" pipe.. so it wont bolt onto the RX8 Catback Exhaust.

Why would you want to downshift at 9,000 rpm?
