Quick Headlight Question

Im fixing my wrecked 07 RX8. I am basically replacing the front bodywork and headlights. I posted in the WTB section and I think I've found a front clip with everything I need. However, it is a halogen headlight model and mine has HIDS's.
So my question is, will the halogen headlights simply plug in my car and work, or are the plugs the same for hid and halogen?
I'm kinda doubting it so, what if I got the halogen plug and splice that onto my car, if the plug is different?
Eventually I'd like to put the HID's back in, but the front clip is just about 2k and it comes with halogens, so I'd like to run them for a bit until I can pay out another 1k+ for the lights.
Thanks

seeing how everyone is saying the headlight housing is the same for both the halogen and hid lights, I can't see why the wiring connectors wouldn't also be the same...it would be a cost saving for mazda to keep things the same as much as possible

I do not know the answer but I'm pretty sure this is wrong ^

okay since I'm being called out, here is a pic I was able to dig up that was posted on this site... the red circles are from the original pic that was submitted - these connectors are specific to the HID headlight assembly...I could not find a good pic of the back side of a halogen headlight assembly for comparison, but I would assume it is similar except it doesn't have wires to an auto-leveler and hid ballast.

the part I circled in yellow, is the connector that connects the headlight assembly harness from the headlight assembly to the car (to get power to the headlight assembly) ... I don't see why this part would not be the same type of connector whether the car has hid or halogen headlights.

op would be switching out the whole headlight assembly, thus only needing to connect the wiring harness from the new headlight assembly to the car...it should be plug and play
