quick help on ports-4 or 6?

i searched but i cant find what i need.

this kid is talking to me and i think he is feeding me a line but i like to have proof before i call out rotary nubs. unfortunately i havent learned much about the renesis motor(spending too much time with the classic rotaries) and am wondering if it is a 6 port intake motor or 4 port intake or if there are variants of both. thank you for a quick response

All manual transmission RX-8's in the US come equipped with 6 port motors. You could get a manual with a 4 port in Europe. All automatic transmission RX-8's up to 08(?) had 4 port engines. Now all RX-8's in the US have 6 port motors.

I thought the Auto's got the 6 port treatment in 06?

Really just going off memory here, though...and FYI, my memory sucks.

So what kind of difference between the 4 and 6 port engines are we talking about? Is there a noticeable difference?
