quick question regarding spark plugs and spark plug wires

my engine has been flooded 4 times, 2 from me and 2 from mechanics...anyways, i need to replace my spark plug, but i'm looking on racingbeat.com and they have spark plug wires, do i need to replace these? and what exactly do they do?

also, is there any certain brand you recommend for spark plugs?

Thanks!

i believe it was decided that the stock NGK plugs work the best ... i recently replaced my plugs and wires... i ordered the racing beat wires but they were back ordered. i ended up just going to the parts store and buying an accell 8mm universal plug wire kit for a V8 and made my own wires. i do not know if anyone has doen this but it worked well for me and i have had no issues.

if you are only replacing your plugs due to flooding ... then i would assume that you do not need to change out the wires though

get the OEM spark plugs from www.onlinemazdaparts.com

You don't HAVE to replace the spark plug wires but it's not a bad idea since you're already working on spark plugs. I went with the RB wires.

magnecor wires are cheaper and beefier.

search around, you can get stock plugs for about 20 bux, I think I got mine for 20 bux each x 4 = 80 shipped (free shipping)

you might want to check your coils before you replace your wires.

I couldn't find the plugs on onlineparts.com but I know they used to carry them.

Hopefully Bagman can shed some light on that one. If not, I know that www.dpeweb.com carries them.

If your plugs are RE9(trailing) and RE7(leading) the part numbers are RE9= 000018N3Y1 and RE7= 000018N3Y8. Search again, http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...?siteid=214264

NB. also search on www.sparkplugs.com
