Rear bumper vent ?
Hello there, This is my first post to a forum ever so please excuse if for some reason I mess this up. I bought my RX8 231PS Nordic green mica around 4 months ago and I just can't believe how good this car is ! I don't care really about the fuel / oil issues. In my opinion its worth every penny spent. The novelty of this new machine just dosn't seem to ware off. I love it !
Anyway, I have a wee question if anyone out there car answer. Underneath the rear bumper (above the number plate) there seems to be 3 rather large gaps. The centre one I can actually fit my hand right inside. After visiting Mazda dealer, I found all models of RX8 new and old have the same thing. The 'Tech' dude said it's to let hot air out & is supposed to be like that...I'm not so sure. Can anyone help ? see attachment. PS: not stone chips-it's the mica reflecting camera flash.
Cheers,
G.

KiddG, You must be in the UK or something. The 8's over there have large holes for lights above there plates. In the US we just have one for the light in the center. Our plates are not as long as yours. That did not sound right but I'll take a nother hit of yayo and every thing will be ok.

Ahhh, thanks folks! wasn't sure if I was missing a blanking plate. was a bit concerned some small furry beastie might crawl in there for the heat and nest ! hehe. I might build a plate for it myself with mesh grill in the centre. Easy to remove so as to keep the 'stash' functionality.
Cheers, G.
