Rear cigarette lighter socket for Tom Tom navigation unit?
Hi everyone.
I am looking to buy a Tom Tom navigation unit for the long drives. Currently my front cigarette lighter socket is taken up fulltime by my GReddy infometer. What I am trying to find out is whether the cable for charging the device is long enough to reach through to the centre console cigarette lighter port?
Nowhere on google can I get a length for the cables that come with the device. Nowhere in NZ sells extension cables etc as I would be needing to pick up the device for a trip in 2 days time.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
Aaron

Hey Aaron,
I have a Tom Tom Via 620,
The cable is long enough to reach all the way to the windscreen from the rear socket,
I like the clean look so run it under the centre console, behind the head unit and out the top above the head unit,
Hope this helps,

An alternative would be to wire in another socket behind the front one (behind the headunit),
But I dont think you should have an issue with it,
Let me know how it goes,
Cheers,
