Removing Rear Control Arms

Removing Rear Control Arms
Hey guys, so I searched around and didn't find the answer I was looking for.
I am pulling a few of the rear arms to install Whiteline bushings, but I am a little unsure about the removal of the ball joints from the rear hub. The rear hub is Alum, so hitting it with a hammer (like on cast) has me a little worried. Is there a different method for the rear? Pickle fork has to be used? Any help would be great.
Thanks

I'd tried to use a fork while removing my rear suspension bits, but I couldn't get it wedged up in there. My stuff was seized like crazy. I torched and sprayed them a bunch of times, then put their respective nuts back on them flush with the top of the threading and used a wood block + sledge. They came out after a few whacks. Smacking things with a hammer isn't ideal, but sometimes your only option is to try and mitigate the damage you might do. I was lucky enough not to mushroom anything or strip any threads.
Good Luck
