Renesis Supply Chain
OK guys, here is a challenge, I am working on a project for my college course Supply Chain Management, I chose the RX-8's Renesis engine as my subject. I need to find out where the engine is produced, where it is installed into the Rx-8, how it is shipped to the United States, then to Tennessee(Knoxville Area). I need names of companies, people, contact info, etc. I have untill December 1st to get this all together. I talked to the local dealer Sales Manager who was a little help. He informed me that the engine is hand uilt in Hiroshima, but he has no idea of names of companies or really even how it gets here.. So I am relying on you guys for some help.... hope you guys are good... :-)

I know first hand that they are shipped via cargo ship to the US. I am not sure of the Comany that they use but there are ports in Seattle, San Diego, and Jacksonville Fl.
An yes, It is a slow boat. I ordered mid Aug and will take delivery in week 2 Dec.

You got to be getting desparate to try to get that kind of info on the forum two weeks before it's due. ![Smilie](https://www.rx8club.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Why not call Mazda in North America? It's your best bet, unless someone here works for Mazda's operations or R&D, which doesn't look like there is anyone that does. If they are true professionals, they should be able to help you.
You could also check their annual shareholder's report which sometime may have these things listed. The report is required by law for all publicly traded companies. Usually the companies have these available on their websites.
Hope this helps.
