Some have claimed to have knocked them out. If you can get the dealer to do it you will be much happier.

Rear Wheel Stud Replacement
I put this on a different thread, atter uploading the pics, I figured I would reply to this one too...
I know this is an old post, but I just went through this like a week ago. Rear stud was stripped and I had to replace it.
I cut the old one off and had to grind about 1/4 of the back of the stud off to get it in. Also had to hack saw off about 1/4" of threads. Last was bending the dust sheild out of the way.
I am not saying this is the right way to do it, but I have plenty of threads left on the new stud, and it saved me the headache of taking the whole car appart.

MY CAR BACK ON THE ROAD!!
I know this is an old post, but I just went through this like a week ago. Rear stud was stripped and I had to replace it.
I cut the old one off and had to grind about 1/4 of the back of the stud off to get it in. Also had to hack saw off about 1/4" of threads. Last was bending the dust sheild out of the way.
I am not saying this is the right way to do it, but I have plenty of threads left on the new stud, and it saved me the headache of taking the whole car appart.

part # wise is the rear stud the same as the front? I once lost a day of track time do to a broken front stud. That I now know can be replaced in the paddock. Rears are another story, I have a bunch of front studs, if the part# is the same I can prep a few studs for the rear like you did and be able to change them at the track if needed.
