Return fuel system chronicle
This is ongoing at the moment but I wanted to start a thread.

Don't judge me on that last one. It was helpful to see someone else's shopping list when building my own.
Here is my shopping list:
Part Number Part Description
AED-60949 ADAPTER FITTING (1)
EAR-178009ERL 9/16 STAT-O-SEAL - PKG. OF 2 (1)
EAR-991945ERL -6 TO 12MM X1.25 DELLORTO/SOLE (1) (This is specific to my fuel rail, future readers will not need this).
FRA-483306 90 BULKHEAD (1) (This is part of failed attempt 1).
FRA-492406-BL BULKHEAD NUT BLK (1)
RUS-650133 FUEL FILTER (1)
SUM-220687 -06 90 HOSE END SWIVEL (1)
SUM-220690 6AN HOSE END STRAIGHT (3)
SUM-230620 S.S. HOSE -6 20FT (1)
ATL Fuel Cells TF602 (1) Ordered when I realized the AN bulkhead fitting PLUS a hose adapter was too long.
Here is my first (FAILED) attempt at creating a solid return fuel system:
I wish the 90* would work, but I need a shorter fitting...
This shows the hose barb fitting that is too long. It hits the fuel pump and you cannot close the fuel assembly up in the tank.
Nope, too long - this doesnt work. You can see the return line routed to the siphon assembly here though.
I have melted the siphon assembly cap on with a soldering iron. (Important or it will pop off and stop siphoning).
The problem with the above is that the hose barb that attaches to the bulkhead fitting is to long and hits the fuel pump when you try to compress the assembly to close the fuel tank. I am replacing the bulkhead fitting with this part: ATL Fuel Cells TF602 and it better work. (I'll update once I get it installed).
I am using 5/16 gate submersible fuel hose to connect the pump to the bulkhead fitting drilled in the top of the fuel assembly.
The factory feed outlet and line is used as the return line. It is plumbed to the venturi siphon assembly so it should pull fuel from the passenger side properly.
I'll update this as I go. Next step is to install that shorter bulkhead fitting (above) in the top of the assembly.

Hi
Sorry, but the fitting location ist total wrong. This molding is for the fuel pump. If you do install there the an-6 fitting there, the fuel pump wont move anymore in this needed mold.
I installed a return system too. The pump is a dw300 pump, with 100% oem fitment.
Look my attached pics.
