yeah I feel bad for starting what could have potentially been fatal for some here but so far it's been a mild thread.
Someone just gave me the impression that there was some rule that i never heard of that once you begin using synthetic, you have to continue using it. not as a matter or preference or opinion but that conventional could literally no longer be used.
doesn't seem like I have anything to worry about here then. Successful thread! This was not meant to be a "which is best?!!?" post I promise.

OP, as noted 5w20 is partially synthetic anyway. Mineral oils of other weights are some blend of Group II and Group III base stocks and maybe some Group I if of very low quality and these by nature mix well with anything. So use whatever you want, just make certain its identified as engine oil. As big an oil freak as I am the topic has been beaten to death and none of us really knows what’s best so it probably matters very little.
