review: Braille Auto all-season battery
I installed the Braille Auto Devepolment B2015 all-season lightweight battery and the power protector that came in for free when I bought it. the power protector monitors battery voltage and usage with the vehicle running and when it is turned off. If it senses that the usage of the battery when the vehicle is turned off will exceed the amount of power needed to start the vehicle, it will disconnect the battery and protect it from being drained. it came 2 remote actuators to reconnect the battery in the event that it decided to disconnect the battery due to possible battery drain. also a set of wires and a fuse were included to bypass the power protector so you're alarm stays on even after it disconnected the battery.
Volts: 12 AH: 21
Pulse Cranking Amps: Over 1060!
Exterior Size L:6.8" W:3.8"H:6.1"
Weight: 15 lb
before...
after...
...so far it's holding up pretty good, I parked it outside las night and tried to start it this morning and it cranked right up.
I'm driving to Seattle, WA sometime next month. I'll find out how it really is an all-season battery.

you definitely need the power drain protector in the RX-8, mine goes dead in a week or so if I don't pull the ground cable off, it often sits several weeks and has racing accessory drive pulleys that don't put out much alternator juice below 5000 rpm

I had the car sitting for two-three weeks a few times before - never a single starting issue, and I didn't even have the new starter back then.

that's for the 11.5 lb battery, this one has 425 CCA's. still not a lot but works for me being in CA
...I had the smaller battery on my FC when I was in WA and seemed to work fine during the winter.
