rx8/s2k tranny

rx8/s2k tranny
So i picked up an 04 rx8 for a really good price with only 48k miles on it. It has the second gear grind which I see is really common.
I'll post this then ask my question, this was sourced from no pistons.
1) The RX-8 Transmission isn't built by Mazda. It's built by Aisin-Toyota and it's called the AZ6. It's the same gearbox used by the Mx-5, the Honda S2000, the Toyota Altezza / IS200 and the Nissan S15 Silvia.
Nissan Silvia owners say the gearbox is good for no more than 400hp. Not sure how that translates to SR20dett torque figures, i suppose around 450/500Nm.
So how hard would it be to put the s2k tranny in my rx8? Are there Adapters or anything needed?

its almost a bolt in. You just need to change out one sensor.
Make sure you get the shifter with it as the s1 shifter doesnt work with it.
Its a much better --but heavier box.
The gear ratios are taller so you will be turning less rpms.
