RX8 in the shop

Ok so i took my rx8 to mazda today cuz it was acting a bit weird.
Got a call back saying i need 4 new coils and plugs.
My question is can i change that myself over the winter time if.
i dont have much mechanical knowledge but i learn real fast and i got plenty of time to do it. just need a nice DIY. i tried to look it up but cant seem to find one.

Now id like the pros and cons of doing this urself:

Pros:
- Save a **** load of money on labor and i get to add the good stuff not factory OEM

Cons:
- Risk of ******* up my motor.

Yes, changing plugs/coils/wires (any any combo of the three) is very easy, even for the mechanically challenged. If you can't change them with the help of all the DIYs and members on this forum, you probably shouldn't own a car.

Also, if you can't find the DIYs through searching, then you aren't searching hard enough. There are multiple DIYs on this topic. Go to google, type in "rx8club:DIY plugs coils wires."

I wouldn't get the parts from the dealership either. You can purchase them much cheaper online or at an auto parts store. If you have any problems while working on your car then post a question - this is a community filled with knowledgeable people who are willing to help you.

One tip: Remember which wire goes where. Don't mix up the wires and change the firing sequence.
