Rx8 SSV actuator missing bolt?

So my engine was replaced 3 years ago, and my question is does it matter if one bolt is holding the ssv? im guessing the tech at mazda didn't put the other bolt that connects it to the lower intake manifold. im guessing there a leak?

Also damn! so much gunk in there.

the dealershit tech was an idiot.

yes it does matter, Just buy the new updated bolt that's longer and replace it with a newer SSV part. Mazda has a kit that has everything, not cheap but it solve the problem once and for all. I'm planning to do mine in the near future.

Mines a 2008. I cleaned it and put a new bolt. My car feels way smoother and responsive. I read the diy from that guy Jon. Took me 2to3 hours by myself. :/

What should the car do if it was leaking?? Poor mileage? Terrible response?
