I am just like you dude, no need to get all upset.
It's just that I had a lot of failed experiments on crap cars before getting everything right. Since rebuilding stuff is expensive i only try to help others save money by not doing it themselves.
Think about what kind of engine one could get after spending what you have spent time and money wise by shopping from any reputable builder directly

I am just a guy, who has really bad ADHD and love him some rotary...so why not put the 2 together and quite just being a driver if it was about the $$$ I wouldnt have bought bascially all new parts and shame on my for not doing my due dillegence before assembly

It really sucks to be an enthusiast. That's why I try not to listen to that side of me when I have to give sound advice.
However just replace whatever was damaged with new parts, set the right tolerances (side seals, e-shaft endplay etc), bolt everything back together with a torque wrench and pray. I would also pay extra attention to the various springs, it's easy to improperly install them.
Our engines are fairly simple to build, in theory. However actually doing it is completely different.

I agree an dI have a hard time not listening to myself
I really look forward to getting a damn dial indicator (I may even stop by grainger on the way home) and checking to see what all is out of tolernaces. Springs were all good verified when we removed the side seals.
tonight I will get the e-shaft, irons and rotors cleaned, photo'd and posted just for the hell of it

sometimes education is expensive and requires a lot of hard work. But, its those lessons that stick with you for a while. Remember that word " wisdom"--afraid you have accumulated some
Wise old man--HE!
I remember a builder of exotic car engines that took 3 days to torque all the rod bolts--he claimed that the metals had to mate. He was famous. Patience and detail oriented goes a long way in engine building.
Keep everything as clean as a white room and take your time--observe the parts where they are and what they are suppose to do-- torque things slowly--in stages sometimes. If you are not totally satisfied with anything--then stop and figure out why. No beer, no casual conversation while building.
Most builders will not let anyone ( or just a very select few) in the room with them when they are building/putting things together. Its almost Zen man:!

that is the kind of time and care I put into this.....white glove clean room, no kids, mostly no company....I assembled and disassembled the first chamber several times (1 necessary and the rest becuase I wanted to make absolutely sure everything went as it should....that also adds to why I am a little pissed at myself for not just getting all the necessary measuring tools and specing the whole this out....lesson learned....what is that they say wisdom vs. knowledge right

Consider this the start for realizing most of the stuff you guys think and post is total BS. Once you come to realize this then you can actually begin to grow and educate yourself into becoming knowledgable rather than just thinking you are

I think that the nice thing...there hasn’t been a lot of cussing and screaming. I knew getting into this I was playing armchair quarterback so I had to keep that into consideration as stuff failed
Now I am working from home today because my week has been **** at work (and I have to write performance appraisals...ugh I hate my job sometimes). Then off to sit at the parts washing station
