I have a Jazz one in the garage I was going to use as a catch can, it's different design, and it looked white in the pic but it's actually tan so I didn't use it. But the construction is great, very sturdy. I like that one, mine looks like this:

Check out the 2 quart. It could be used as a SOHN reservoir and catch can.

2 quarts would last me a couple years + it refills itself

DAMNIT!!!!

I never considered using the SOHN reservoir as a catch can also...genius!!!!!!!:smoker:

9krpmrx8 05-02-2012 04:55 PM

I have been wanting one container to do both for a while but I have just been trying to find the right container that will fit.

houstonrx8er 05-02-2012 05:06 PM

I think I am going to make that 2qt jaz one work...I can get 2 bulkhead fittings for cheap

it looks like it will even fit right in front of the washer reservoir

Did you get the measurements of it? I hope it works, I want to replace my temporary one.

shadycrew31 05-02-2012 05:14 PM

Has anyone ever considered running an inline fuel filter?

do you think the premix would get trapped in it?

9krpmrx8 05-02-2012 05:17 PM

You could get one that is easily cleaned. Heck I have thought about inline fuel filters, fuel coolers, depleted uranium braided lines, all kinds of crazy shit

yep, it you remove the liner it will fit suspended infront of the WW reservoir. I will fabricate some sort of bracket.

LOL

Yea I was just thinking since most of our carbon buildup is due to shitty fuel and our only line of defense is plastic mesh... well yea you get the idea.

houstonrx8er 05-02-2012 05:32 PM

trailblaze :)

9k...WTF chilled fuel......you need a 2nd job....what did you find out on the depleted uranium braided lines...I am ready to order

I've been looking for iranium housings and unubtaniam side seal springs.

No one seems to carry them though :/

No worries, we will forge them ourselves.

I hope that works well so I can copy you. Did you get the mount kit too?

nope, the mount kit was more for mounting to a horizontal surface. I figured fabbing up something will be fairly simple

catch can needs vacum--at least mine does. Its also there to vent the crankcase.?
Why do you want an inline fuel filter--the pump has a good one--any additional one will just cause a loss of a little fuel pressure.
heavy enough pre mix can mess up a fuel filter.--this i know.....
wish there was an ethanol filter!
Have yall tried true gas in your car? It does make a difference in how smooth it runs and the gas milage.

30-35 micron should keep fuel pressure fine it will just need to be cleaned more often.

9krpmrx8 05-03-2012 09:34 AM

I was having true gas last night while working on the car. Hoss-05 was very impressed.

houstonrx8er 05-03-2012 09:46 AM
