Wuss.....na....loving wife.....wife if you are seceretly reading this I love you and your rock....

the inside stuff is pretty much over now today I assembly the pressure plate, front cover and accessories and port the oe manifold (although there doesnt seem to be much to do when I eyeballed it with the gasket)

9krpmrx8 05-16-2012 09:19 AM

I have to go to Marion to take the kiddos to dinner but after that I'd like to stop by if your working.

houstonrx8er 05-16-2012 09:36 AM

I have some extras, I had to buy a lot of 25 at fastenal. I can bring them to you if you want. I believe they are M10 x 1.50 (edit: yes they are).

houstonrx8er 05-16-2012 09:54 AM

yes please, I will need 6 :)

houstonrx8er 05-16-2012 01:52 PM

damnit...this is horrible. I thought it would get better as everything comes together...but ADHD has kicked in overdrive.......1 more meeting and I am back to wrenching!!!

olddragger 05-16-2012 07:29 PM

dang--with you and 9k up and running --what thread will we all talk in!?

houstonrx8er 05-16-2012 08:44 PM

so pessimistic :(

think on the bright side if shit fails you'll know where to find us!

olddragger 05-17-2012 07:45 AM

I make break a bolt on purpose just to start another thread and mess with 9K--:)

No dont say all that! My engine install is next.... I think I am going to start spraying all the bolts this weekend with some PB Blaster.

Chris 05-17-2012 07:49 AM

i literally didn't have a single useful nut or bolt left over from my build

houstonrx8er 05-17-2012 09:39 AM

is the key word there "useful"

9krpmrx8 05-17-2012 10:05 AM

I replaced 75% of the nuts and bolt's on mine. I actually have a few more to replace, I'd like to replace the lower bolts and nuts for the shocks.

shadycrew31 05-17-2012 10:17 AM

Edit* thought this was a lounge lolz

9krpmrx8 05-17-2012 10:35 AM

3 Attachment(s)
well over seated my pilot bearing...looks like I am about to be the proud new owner of a PB puller....(read instructions first)

LIM is assembled and ready to rock
Attachment 233490

Exhaust is......well shall we say modified as best as I possibly could. Its hard to see what was done down on the inside of the manifold, its was a pretty ugly 90deg wall. I would much prefer a BHR long tube header :)
Attachment 233491

assembled new metering lines, attached OMP and sohn. Is my choice of routing ok? it seems to be the best way to do it without creating stress on the lines
Attachment 233492

now off to the LAP store for a PB remover then back to work

stinksause 05-17-2012 01:11 PM

awesome ... I am not sure about the routing tho ... I would keep them together ...

man I hope that doesnt mean I have to call the wife....she is gonna give me the....what was it called hoss, the dragon eyes :(

olddragger 05-17-2012 01:23 PM

dont route them like that--looks like a little tension is on them?
I have found that a good thing to do is to go ahead and put some sealate around the omp seal/mount. In your case , the adaptor/block and the adaptor/omp. That STOPS any possibilty of oil leakage from that site.
SHARE THAT Header PICTURE:)
