Salvage parts?

My '05 MT RX-8 blows warm air when I've got the temp control all the way to cold. Cush Mazda says I need to replace that control, but I can't just replace the rheostat, I have to replace a large (part of) that center control console.

Any suggestions in the San Diego/SoCal area for getting that from a junker? In fact, I'd be curious about getting other parts from salvaged cars.

Thanks in advance.

Well, you can check Mazmart. There is also a DIY fix for this exact problem, just need to be decent with a soldering iron, or know someone who is. I will see if I can find the link for the DIY for you.
