Actually Seafoam does come with a tube. You can buy it at advance auto parts. Theres one without the tube and theres one with one.

I can't seem to get the caps off on the vacuum inputs - any secret to this? I haven't tried using a pliers or anything for fear of bending or breaking off one of the tips - but I pulled with my fingers and couldn't get the caps off to put the tube on for seafoam. Has anyone else struggled to remove them? thoughts?

I seafoamed yesterday but didnt measure out the seafoam, just cranked for the specified time straight from the can, and my car drank the whole can! So i def recommend pouring out four two ounce doses, or your gonna be smokin for a while!

I recently used DIY to seafoam my engine, and with great results too! I did notice that the engine revs alot smoother and i did see a change of mpg. instead of getting 14mpg i'm getting about 18mpg now. Great DIY, very quick and easy. lol just keep in mind theres gonna be alot of smoke best to do it at night when theres no on lookers...

Now on 04 - 05 models you would remove the vacuum plugs from the auxiliary ports. Servicing ONE at a time!
06 and later models have vacuum hoses attached to the PCV system. As well remove one at a time.
Since my car is an 04 I removed the front vacuum plug first and attached a hose that went from the port to the SeaFoam can. Like so->
Also removed the windshield washer fluid reservoir to make room to move about.

EDIT: Never mind. The washer reservoir gave away which side its on. Still having trouble finding the actual ports and their tubes though. Anyone have a picture of where these holes are located?

Insert a thin flat-bladed screwdriver in-between the cap and its seat, then apply outward pressure using the blade, grasping the screwdriver as close to the blade as you can. It's easier to do than describe. Vaccuum hoses usually let go pretty easily once you apply that axial pressure right into the rubber.

i think you can gunk up the cat and possibly do some damage to the engine when you restart it since the seafoam will pretty much eat up all the oil thats in there. Thats why it is best to suck in some oil through the vacuum nozzles before you turn the engine on for the first time.
Mazda normally juices up the OMP when they do it but since we don't have that luxury, get some two-stroke pre-mix or just regular oil and crank the engine and suck a bunch in there.

I did this today and it was pretty straight forward. Only thing I got hung up on was getting the ESPS plug off. Eventually jacked the car up and it took a few seconds to take off. The trick (for someone who gets stuck as well): Push in the top and bottom of the plug and pull. Should come right off.

whenever u disconnect the battery the car needs to relearn the fuel trims, you obiously know this.
what i learned from the forums was to turn off the ac and start the car, let it idle for 10 mins and then turn the ac on for a good 5-10 mins,and boom you are done!!

I did this yesteday as well as cleaned the MAF. I disconnected the battery to reset the fuel trims as the idle would move around 100 rpms from 900-1000.
Now my idle goes from 1000 to 700 to 800 and just keeps moving around. Is this because i disconnected the battery? I already took the car on 3 driving cycles as well as a two hour drive and it still idles weird. I should also mention that the spark plugs were replaced 2 months ago; however, right after the sea foam when i turned on my car and revved it up to 6k rpm the engine light flash showing a misfire.
I have 80k miles on a mt 2004
please advise
