Series 1 motor mount compatibility
Hey so I've been doing a lot of searching and was unable to find an answer. I have had to resort to posting a thread. I have an 04 auto with 117k on chassis. My question is will s1 manual mounts fit s1 automatic mount locations for both sides? They have different part numbers but they look identical. I had a out of state friend take a picture of auto and manual mounts. If anyone could please just simply tell me yes or no with an exact explanation. I would appreciate it. Thanks a ton!

Do you know this from experience or just from what you've read/heard? Just curious cause my passenger side mount is shot and it shakes like a modo. Thanks for replying btw. Hope to hear from you soon.

Motor mounts
On my 04 manual, i have replaced the mounts with BHR medium stiffness inserts. It eliminated the shifter shake, but now have a light vibration in cabin. I exchanged inserts to low stifness and now have no vibration. I rebuilt the stock motormounts with shore 80 neoprene and they can be had for 60. + shipping

Give that a read, in all honesty you shouldn't have to go past the 1st page to get your answer.

The OE mounts still occasionally seem to break even after being filled, at least the RH one. It could be that it had already partially been stressed/failed when converted. You really can't go wrong with the RX8Performance mounts. They vibrate a bit more than OE, but are pretty much good for life. Or for about 2x more you can get some BHR mounts with several different stiffness bushings. Mazdaspeed Motorsports sells some stiffer OE style bushings now too, but they cost about $500/pair.
