Shift **** Installation
I searched around and did not find the specifics I was looking for.
The dealer replaced my shift **** for me yeaterday. The top silver looking part was peeling off. They were nice and did it under warranty which surprised me.
Now the damn thing is loose and turns and spins in my hand when i shift.
Is it just a matter of grabbing it and tightening it by hand or is there more to it than that?
I figured I would be safe and check before i did that.

parts are expensive period. when they replaced my headight covers he said it would have been over $700 just in parts to do it myself.
I don't even want to think about what the console lid would have cost me.
Incidently, don't ever try and open the console without sliding it ALL the way back. There is a clip on the inderside that will snap off. As I learned the hard way, a three year old is strong enough to break this. Also, don't let three year olds play with the sliding console cover.
