well DKNVs 04 appears to have lost reverse gear

it shifts fully into reverse fine, but when you let out the clutch there's nothing happening except a light whining noise

WTF?

 

PM'd you. That's the first symptom the person I mentioned experiences. Priveleged info not for sharing - sorry kids.

Are you able to share the generalities of what part of the clutch or transmission systems are involved?

 

hmmmm.. i dunno.. i had the same issue with second gear..downshifting.. if my rev would to be anywhere above 4000rpm in 3rd its impossible to get into second unless i harsh double clutch which still grinds a bit.. just 2 days ago i changed all my fluids.. my jap mechanic put in some japanese stuff.. apparently.. and it no longer grinds..
