I hope you are jewish if you are making that remark. Even then, there is enough antisemitism out there as is, why propagate it?

Extremely short trips like that are hard on any engine, for the reasons noted. The only additional concern for the rotary is flooding.

When you shut off after that .8 mile drive, hold the engine at 3000 rpm for 10 seconds and then turn off the ignition while it's still at 3000. As the rotors spin down they will help purge any unburned fuel from the chambers.

Short trips consitute "severe service", so follow the "severe service" maintenance schedule.

Take the long way home once in a while. Find a girlfriend on the other side of town, etc.
