Looks like about 8.5secs to get from 2k-9krpms to me...
I'll try to get one on a flat road when I can.
Anyone else care to share?

idk man but in my opinion you shouldnt be in 2nd gear yet. why try to pull from 2k in 2nd? whats wrong with first? if you want to accelerate faster dont shift out of first so quick. its tough for me to tell cause my car is still hibernating for winter, which sux.i miss it.

What is the information you're trying to gather by having the users perform this test? And you really should note that this should be performed in a safe environment etc as you are asking fellow forum members to possibly break the law.

I figured people who would actually respond with a video would have enough sense to use good judgment on where/when to perform it. But I guess you never know...
Here is another one,

- Stock
- Possible Bad Cat (rattles) / Two Coils (1 & 4) tested out of Spec according to Mazda (no CEL)

From my datalogs, 7.71 seconds from 1984rpm to 8450rpm.
BHR ignition, ebay catback, cobb ap.
Base 2005 with 3/4 tank, 240lbs of me and a 10" sub.
My most recent log was 7.2 from 3069-8998rpm. IME, unless you bounce off the fuel cut a couple times, you didn't actually quite hit redline.
I will do a video, time permitting.

just for a reference S2's 2nd gear pull.
stock, 42F
I say its about 7.2 sec from 2200 to 9200.
S2's have shorter 1st to 5th gear.

by calculating the rpm and speed relationship, 15mph at 2250rpm, that gives me 60mph at 9000rpm which is exactly where the tachometer is at 60mph.
I did the same for OP's vid. he had 2500rpm at 18mph and 9000rpm at 65mph, which is exactly the same ratio.

idk how you come up with that conclusion.

if it was 500rpm higher at red line, then my calculation would show the difference, but there was no difference.
by looking at the video, 15mph at 2250rpm, that gives me 60mph at 9000rpm, which is exactly what the video showing.

if i redline my car in 2nd to the point of rev limiter or just before, my tach (i know it may not be accurate) is at 9400-9500rpm and the speedo reads 69mph. idk if this helps any or makes it worse.

So in your example 200 mph your tach read 9500 rpm and an AP datalog would read 9000 rpm. It's just the way it is. So if you have access to log the data, via an AP or otherwise, it will be more accurate to the "measurement" being performed here; however, you have to keep the difference in mind when comparing them.

It's not 500rpm out at idle but it's 500 rpm out at 9000 so it does get progressively worse as rpms climb . At say 5000rpm it might only be 250rpm out .
