Slipping clutch causing engine misfire

Well my clutch is close to nonexistant... New clutch coming in tomorrow (exedy stage 1 full kit with new bearings) and ive been getting p0302 codes (cylinder 2 misfire). mazda dealership says this is because of the clutch. I have new plugs, coils and wires on there so it isnt those. I was just wondering if anyone else has had this same problem? Just doesnt make sense to me that the engine would misfire because of a slipping clutch...
