Ok so i bought my Rx8 and it has about 67k miles on it and i have a slight misfire i believe and im planning on changing the plugs on it this week or next week, Can someone point me in the right direction for Plugs to buy ie. brand, part number, link?
Or should i go to Mazda and buy OEM if theres no other alternative.

Definitely OEM plugs, but not from a dealer. You can get them from several forum vendors (like BHR) or from sparkplugs.com or from some auto parts stores for something like $80 to $90 a set. Dealers charge two to three times that.

Perfect so i can obtain them for 80 dollars for all the plugs? And does anyone know how much the coils are. I see them for like 30 dollars each is that to much or accurate. Sorry i know very little bout the rx8 but know everything of the 3000GT...lol

yes everyone above is correct about plugs...and I also recommend wires and coils....usually coils run you around 30-50 I believe(correct if wrong) but you may want to look into BHR's Ignition Solution and can order plugs from same place!

yup, the OEM coils are $26.95 each, you'll need 4 of them. The problem with the OEM coils is that they're not the most dependable items on our cars. We've seen some go bad in as few as 6,000 miles.
The BHR ignition upgrade is made by Charles R. Hill (forum vendor) and it utilizes Yukon coils with a patented plug and play harness so the Yukon coils plug right into the existing mazda connections. (no cutting / splicing required) They also come with MSD coils that could tame lightning if they had to.
It'll cost you a bit more, but the Yukon coils are warrantied for LIFE! (sure beats swapping out coils all the time. I'm on my 3rd full set of OEM coils)

Just got mine a few days ago; best deal around that I know of right now.
EDIT: Coils @ Rosenthal Mazda ( www.finishlineperformance.com -> http://www.finishlineperformance.com...cat=273&page=1 ) for $26.95 per. Again, best that I know of; I ordered a set of these, too.

I know it's best to check to be safe. I figure when plugs cost much as OEM coils they better be pregapped! I guess the other facet that must be looked into is plug wires/coils...since you're already doing the plugs.

I am also doing my first electrical job on the RX-8 and I got plugs, wires, and coils. I didn't hear about the kit available until after I bought all my stuff but I went with the stock plugs, Magnacore wires, and stock coils and ended up spending just about $300 for everything after shipping ($90 for plugs[sparkplugs.com], $88 for wires[Pettit], and 120 for coils[Finish Line]). Any big mistakes there? - always willing to learn...
