specs on an old 7

Anyone know where I can find engine specs on an 84 RX-7? I wanted to see what the HP and torque were..

I can tell you the 1981 RX7, it was 105HP, 100 FP torque. It was a 12A.

I would imagine the 84 was close to this. When did the GSL-SE come out? Didn't that have the 13B engine?

ahahahaha... what a car... the RX-8 has come by leaps and bounds.

if memory serves correct...

2600lb.
110hp, 90ish lb.ft on the 12A

but for the post-1988 RX-7's, i know by heart.

about 2800lb.
160hp, 130ish lbft. (as you can tell, i've never been one to focus on peak torque numbers )

ah ha!! right you are: the Series 4 13B...

that was 140hp, +120lb ft.

1984 and '85 GSL-SE:
13B engine - 1300 cc, 135 HP, special six port design,
electronic fuel injection. 14 inch wheels standard. Larger
disc brakes. Limited slip differential. Power steering
optional. Improved interior. Separate oil cooler mounted
under radiator.

If I'm to look up data of vechicles of the past and present, where can I go to quickly look up these spec's ? Any ideas. Thanks.

Well, I bought the Cartest2000 performance calculation software and it has a database of over 1300 new and old cars, motorcycles and jetskis...

The specs on the early RX-7s are readily available at Beyond the Redline, a hosted site at teamf3cs.org. As for other cars, the free CarTest program has stats for a lot of older vehicles.
