Squeaking clutch pedal assembly...

I know it's been covered before, but the squeak won't go away. It started AFTER I swapped the brake fluid to ATE Super Blue. Since I had NO squeak with the stock fluid, I'm guessing it is because I switched to ATE Super Blue.

The dealer sprayed some white lithium grease onto the blue bushings of the spring, but the noise still persists. Could it be the piston in the master cylinder? Will it be safe to spray white lithium grease into the master cylinder tube? (by pushing down the clutch pedal and then squirting some on the wall of the tube from inside the car--see attachment)

(The clutch pedal assembly is NOT broken and everything with the hydraulic system is fine.)

the clutch master shouldn't be squeaking....it is essentially lubricated by the brake fluid when the rod moves over the rubber seals.

you can put a bit of lube on the end of the clutch pedal pushrod where you marked it and it might stop the metal to metal contact there.

I don't see how the fluid would cause a squeak?? I have been using Suiper Blue and ATE2000 for 4 years with no problems

My thoughts exactly, but I have no other logical explanation. However, I am not trying to lubricate the pushrod that's attached to the clutch pedal arm--I'm thinking of spraying the grease onto the wall of the cylinder, where the piston moves in and out. Would this be a bad idea?

I wouldn't grease it..but it shouldn't hurt anything really...it shouldn't leak into the pressure side....the squeak is likely from the pushrod

The grease shouldn't hurt the o-rings on the piston, right?

FS

(It'll be my luck that the squeaking will get worse after I shoot grease into it)
